4 ohm 112 combos or small cabs?

The relatively low power output of the Walkabout, and the high quality 112 in that combo cab makes 4ohms at least make some sense for that particular combo. The passive radiator has nothing to do with it... a passive radiator is basically a second port, which impacts tuning of the cab, not volume or power handling.

Well I hope it works out, sounded great in GC and I really wanted something small and light (but with great tone) as an alternative to my larger rigs.

I use an avatar sb112 for my small - med room rig.....some rooms really need the smaller cab than the 4-10 and I find that for my needs, the 1-12 works well to accomodate the issue. I would not trade it for anything I have played lately. I know many will sound better, but it is bought, paid for etc. I replaced the delta with a Kappa Pro and actually have a Delta LFC 4 ohm speaker to put in it.

I match it with the Peavey T max, PF500 or QSC plx1602 and Sansamp RBI. If I had a combo that sounded as good, it would be easier to lug, but it has been a very flexible setup and I have no issue with it. In fact, I had paired a single 15 8 ohm cab with it for more ooompf and it was solid. On its own though...it does what I pay it to.

Size is an important aspect, when you load up in a Scion XB. The 410 fits too, but there for a while, it was PA, 2 15" PA cabs, 2 12" PA cabs, cables, poles/stands, bass head, guitar amp, mics, etc. basses......it all counts. The SB112 is a substantial 1-12 cab.
