4 or 5; Is the B worth it?

I have been tuning 5's with a high c lately, but for some reason I like 4 or 6, not 5.

I traded my 4 for a 6 and only had the 6 for years. When I picked up a 4 I could do things with it I cant on a 6.
The B is nice. Try it and see if its your thing. Give it a week or two to adjust, at first you flub notes.
 
My 6-string tuned to low F# is my main bass. At times I will tune EAEADG or even DAEADG. Basses are made to make low notes. Why stop at 41.2hz?

Because the 34" scale bass is not well designed for size of strings required to go that low to resonate properly. And because the amps and cabs we have available don't reproduce those frequencies anyway. But if you like the sound of it and use it that's cool. I just think synths and pipe organs sound better in that range.
