After battling that Brooklyn to Long Island rush hour traffic I'm almost out of energy to make this post...ALMOST.
It was May of 2019, times were good...REAL good. My kids were 6 and 8 and I had been finding the time to play music more and more and had gotten deep into pedal collecting and exploring sounds again in a major way. I was actively and regularly getting together with other musicians to jam with occasional "gigs" in front of real live audiences for the first time since having kids.
As a CT owner and major fanboi, I had heard that Carl had stopped taking orders mostly but occasionally you'd hear stories about someone getting on the list. My job was going well and for whatever reason, the wife and I had a discussion about reaching out to see if I could get on the list and she was open to the idea...so I did. 4 years 12 days ago...after trading a few calls with Carl, I sent in my deposit for a 5 string 32" scale strung E → C and tried my hardest to forget about it.
After a while, you get used to the idea that you are just waiting on something that's gonna take a zillion years so it is kind of jarring when you do get that call or email from Carl or the crew. Around the end of the year I got word that things were well underway and was just confirming what I wanted...then several months later I got a voicemail from that familiar friendly voice saying things were just about ready. Today I swung by and picked it up...52223, and it's incredible!!!
Snapped some photos when I first got home and have been playing it ever since. Sounds and feels incredible! I couldn't be happier!!!
