401 Unauthorized errors

Hi,

I occaisonally get errors and can't access TalkBass.com at all. This is the error I get:

401 Unauthorized
Your IP has been used by Spam Bots to attempt to register on this forum multiple times

The strange thing is, I'll be using it fine, and this will suddenly start happening, and then it will start working again a few minutes later. My IP isn't changing at all. Any ideas?

How are you accessing the internet? Home ISP or work? The IP that you used to send in the above post is a real doozy and is being used by bots on TalkBass. Here are some other issues the IP has generated on other websites:

Worse than a hacker! Ignores robots.txt Should be permanently banned from internet access! - 2011-10-10
Hacking *** - 2012-08-24
Possible fraudster IP. Treat with caution. - 2012-08-26
Left a very legitimate-looking lead on our website. Good thing we screen every lead. Be careful. - 2012-11-20
My stolen mobile phone logged into accounts through this IP. Super sketch. - 2013-03-10
They hacked into my Gmail acct. - 2013-08-02
IP Address originates from Camp Gruber, OK. - 2013-11-04
This is an IP address from the NYS department of labor. They must use a VPN for their computers. I was freaked out when I saw a login from this IP on my email account but then figured out it was actually me. - 2013-12-25
Hacked survey with bad comments. Took the time to be creatively negative. Be wary of anything coming from this IP address - 2014-06-07

I've removed your IP from the anti-DOS database, so you should be fine now.

It was added to the block list this morning automatically, because the system determined that you were a data miner/ content spammer. This happened because you weren't logged in, and it shows your IP hitting the site many times per second:

I was feeling like junkie without a fix.
I guess I went through the classified's too fast without being logged in and spun my computer into a loop :facepalm: :sorry:
All better now :thumbsup: again THANK YOU.
