4X10 Suggestion

I think i read any thread about this, but ask won't hurt.

I play guitar, but want get bass equipment to put in my practice room for convenience.
I need a powerful (2 guitars 100watt + 4X12) yet versatile rig. Weight is NOT a matter, because will stay in room.

So in the same price tag i was thinking to:

- Mark Bass
- Hartke
- GK Neo
- Ampeg SVT
- TC Electronic RS

Right now i'm more inclined to TC, but wish to listen more opinions about.

I know the GK Neo 410 is loud. I had a 500W head running it out on my deck and my neighbours 1000' away heard me just fine.

I own a GK NEO 410 & 2 TC RS210's (410) and I really like both rigs. If you prefer a more modern sound with a lot of low end and snappy highs then the GK is for you.

If you prefer a more even and somewhat vintage sound then the TC is for you. Both are really good cabs and it will just come down to personal preference.

I've also used Ampeg, Hartke and Markbass and don't really have much to say about them derogatory wise. They will also work, it's just my preference to go TC & GK.

If it’s going to be stationary and has to compete with 4x12 guitar cabs, why not get a used Ampeg 8x10? They are easy to find for $400 or less.

Correct answer. Or at least some sort of 810. If those guys like to practice loud, you could use a little firepower yourself.

Oh. Well hey, I was young, too. But you only get one set of ears. Use them wisely.

I'm in EU, the only used 8x10 are a Music Man and Ampeg SVT, and both more expensive then the RS410 new.

There is a great ebay sale on refurbed RS212's for $235 a piece right now. I bought 2 and they kick some major ass. You won't beat that for bang for the buck.
