5 string humbucking pickup.

I have an older 5 string standard J bass which is going to have a lot of work done to it (Read, its really screwed up and I can do just about anything to it now because of it)

I like humbucking pickups in the neck position best. What recomendations do you all have for a pickup that is humbucking and will span 5 strings?

I like rock, jazz, punk, blues, just about anything.

I play through an SWR head and 4x10.

I would like to keep the total price under 200 for a pickup and all of its electronics.

Are you going to put a pup in both the neck and bridge position of the jazz bass? Are you looking for active electronics or passive? Do you want the pickups to fit in the old jazz bass routes or are you going to route new ones.. If you want active electronics.. What do you want in the preamp..

Those are the questions you need to ask yourself. :)

I would prefer passive. The original pickguard is scrap so I can put whatever I want in the neck position. I am not worried about re-routing it. I would like to keep the original route for the bridge pickup. Honestly though, I only really ever used the neck pickup anyway, and after years of playing have decided that I like humbuckers rather than single-coils.
