This is a VERY special build for me, so I hope hope you guys injoy my quick recap of this build.
Why this one is so special? You'll find out later.

Specs:
Body: Alder
Neck: Birdseye maple
Fretboard: Ziricote
Pickups: Sadowsky
Preamp: Sadowsky (vol/blend/tone+bypass (push pull)/bass/treble)
Hardware: Hipshot

I finished this allready so here are some pictures:

I really had to build this one quick, so after a few days I had:

I thought I had some picture of the neck, when I was shaping it but it looks like I don't.

I had to wait for the pickups for like a week, but after that everything went very fast:

Pickup cavities and neckpocket routed, and placed the pickups and neck in for a fit: very nice fit!

After that I rounded over the body with a 1/2 roundover bit and did the for forearm- and tummycut:

In the meantime I made a pickguard and wired the preamp.
After a lot of wet sanding an buffing it looked like this:

I had to do some sanding on the sides of the neckpocket because because of the laquer it didn't fit anymore.

As you may know Nuno Bettencourt plays in Rihannas band. When I brought the last bass, he said: And you didn't bring me a guitar? :)
So this time I built one for him too. Unfortunately I cant finish his guitar in time, because I ordered a pickup from Bill Lawrence (bill and becky) but Bill died last week, so I still haven't got the pickup. And because I fly to New Orleans on monday, Nuno's guitar isn't ready.
But here are some pictures:

Where do you get your wood? That burl is awesome!!!

Perfect fit.

My plan was to bend the top over the forearmcut, but this burl was pretty brittle, so I made the forearm cut in the core and glued a little piece of burl on the cut. Than sanded it flat and glued the top on.
Only thing left after that is a little bandsanding action to get rid of that little overhanging part.
