5-string or BEAD?

Taking a break from practicing to double down the Ibanez Six, the 'intro' one (GSR206B) which was $300 new all in delivered, hand inspected, packed beautifully and they added strings (and candy). Least risk, most joy. Yeah, it's not going to have output sound like a Carey Nordstrand special (but could...) but the six string fretboard journey is so killer and this SR neck with La Bella tapewounds is as easy as it gets. This is a findable new in stock instrument at the moment, so there's that as well.

I ended up buying a Schecter Stilletto Session 5 from the classified section here. 35" scale, 17mm string spacing, about 8 lb, smallish swamp ash body, EMG PJ active PU's. Seems perfect for what I want.

Can't wait till it gets here!
Excellent choice! My first quality bass was my studio 4. It's a 2007 I've made some mods to over the years. It may not get played as much as my others but I'll never sell it.
