500k Pots With Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz Pickups?

Would there be any downsides to using 500k pots with Quarter Pound Jazz pickups in a V/V/T configuration?

I also have a set of Duncan Apollo Jazzers and am going to wire them up with 500k pots, but they're not true single coils.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Might make them sound brighter, more open

that's certainly my preference! if you want to go back to the "old" sound just nudge your 500k audio tone down to about "6"

you'll want to use linear volumes, otherwise they drop off really fast from "10"
