What is this? I mean the exact pickup model and brand.

There's also the Roswell VTN5-B
(the "-B" is probably a mistake: the spacing of polepieces seems too narrow for a bridge pickup, and more appropriate for the neck position)

However, I can't find this specific pickup anywhere for sale: if interested, you should contact them and see if they have a distributor local to you.
I’m not seeing any pricing for the pick up, but that is a very interesting option

okay....................... live and learn the neckwas 5mm to short vs the 19 mm bridge because of the shave down now i need to buy a new neck...........you all were right i should have had the body routed for the neck..............i am so pissed A) i wasted my neighbors time and B) i had them check the neck vs bridge spacing and yep i screwed up.......... i'm so pissed at myself

can anyone link me a 19 mm neck fender style i'd rather not spend like 200-300 for a warmoth neck shipped or fender. what i used was a cheapo china neck i'd like it to stay budget. maybe squire idk

Hold on Hiroi, all may not be lost yet.
I'm having a difficult time understanding what you are describing.
A typical 34" scale neck will be exactly 17" from the body side surface of the nut, to the 12th fret center,
and the rounded heel end should be about 6 3/4" from there, giving a grand total of 23 3/4".
I see some wood was removed from the end grain.

Normally, that rounded heel should butt into the neck pocket curve, and maintain the proper scale length for it's originally intended bridge,
and it's predrilled mounting holes. Using a different bridge, and your current neck length overhang, a new bridge position will need to be determined.

If that is a 34" scale neck, wood can be added back to the length, where it was removed from the end grain, to put it in the proper position.
Also, if a 34", I'm guessing the front edge of your particular bridge, should be about 9 7/8" from the neck pocket curve,
or in your case, the current curved end of the fretboard. (My guess total is 33 5/8"~33 3/4", from nut to front edge of your bridge)

There is some room there to adjust the bridge position, but it's better to mount it more back than forward
(for the B string intonation, and the common string tapers at the tuning post).
When intonated, the G string saddle is usually the most forward, and just a tad over the 34" point,
and the rest of the saddles step further back from there.

If it is not a 34" scale neck, disregard everything I just said :woot:
I only have one typical 20 fret, 34" P style here with me, to reference from.

It’s 5 mm short Width Wise. Yes both myself and the tech at… guitar center. Accounted for the bridge adjustment at 34 And a fraction longer But he said if everything was fully installed tuners annd strings and everything. One string would be hanging off the edge of the board as a whole..

At least that is what he told me and he double checked with a more experienced tech and that’s what he found.

So I need to have the body routed for a five string neck and buy a new 5 string neck as opposed to having my 5 neck shaved for the four string pocket. Like it is now.

on the bright side i bought the nordstrand audio 5 string pickup so there's that

Most all five string bridges should be compatible with most five string necks, and AFAIK, that's what you have.
The strings would probably be hanging over if you had a five string bridge and a four string neck,
but I don't think that's the case.
Not all GC techs are all that hip ;)

yes but with a body and 4 string pocket shaved down for a 5 neck to fit the 4 string to fit and a 5 string bridge is that the issue here? they double and triple checked? or maybe they just won't do it cause they suck? idk now either way i'm taking it back today

If you can project the fretboard edges onto the body,
you will know for sure where the optimum center for where your bridge saddles should be, at the ~34" point;

Fivers are easy, because the A saddle groove is the true center of the bridge :)

AFAIK, you're trying to put a conventional 34" five string neck, onto a conventional 34" four string body.?
A conventional five string neck, modified as you have, a five string nut, and a five string bridge, should allow for this to be done.
The slight heel shortening may not even matter, if you have the room to bump the bridge back the same amount.
Of course, you'll need a proper pickup to "pickup" the strings, but I think you've already found an appropriate candidate.

Personally, I would forget about ever going back to a four stringer, and just keep it a fiver, it wouldn't be worth it...
Or just leave the B string off ;)

I looked at your pictures up above. The fretboard was not touched so its width didn’t change just the heel where it mates into the body. I suspect, if anything, you might need a narrower spaced bridge. I’d suggest bolting the neck into the body, mount the bridge in its correct location even if it’s just with one screw or double stick tape, then run string through the B and G nut slots to the bridge (actually string not bass strings) and see what’s the maximum width you can get while still keeping the strings 3/32”-1/8” in from the edge of the neck.

I think you said the bridge is for 19mm spacing? Even though I like a nice, wide 5 string and have a couple that are 19mm that’s pretty wide by “conventional” standards and your neck’s heel width could have been designed with a narrower spacing in mind.
