Indeed. Definitely starts some conversations! ha ha (First question is always "What is that top?!") But I'm sure any of Cliff's basses stand out from the usual basses spotted in the wild and get commentary!

I had Cliff hold it for me as soon as I saw it, with the idea that maybe he would have some other ridiculously cool darker wood top down the road, but ended up sticking with it. It actually influenced the whole build... lighter top, darker body, and the pau ferro board/pickup covers were Cliff's suggestion as a contrasting wood. It's like quilt maple on steroids, and I've ended up really digging it.
Thank you to you all for all of the above info. I am new to Cliff’s work, but am totally digging it. I will be doing more research. Cograts on the beautiful build!
