I'm going to try to make it along with a friend of mine who loves jazz bass but doesn't play. We should try to meet up there for everyone who has lawn seats.

Hello, oh ye olde TB mates! I haven't moved, died, or been abducted by aliens. I took the year off bass on account of the new little fellow in our house. Haven't played in six months!
But I'd love to come to the GTG to see the usual suspect...assuming, of course, I'm still welcome!

Whoah! Brian aka Dr. PP! Back from the dead! Always welcome at my house! You'd love the set up on my Jay Turser JTB-401! Breathe on the strings and they sound wonderful, start playing and it's buzz city. It's too low for me but it's very reminiscent of your Sterling. I may leave it that way till the GTG just for grins.
I've missed all of the planning for this, but I am hoping that I might actually make it to this GTG! I'll be checking my schedule tonight!

Hey if anyone has an old junky 8 ohm cabinet you're willing to sell for $150 or (hopefully) less, bring it along. I'm looking for one as a second cabinet for when I need more volume from my amp. Particularly I'd like to get a single 15" cabinet or a single 12", but other configurations would be considered.

Gigspam! My band Not Dead Yet is going to be playing at Invalid Link Removed, a local Centreville, VA dive, on June 14 for a "School's Out" party! Time something like 9:30-1:30 I think. If you have time, come on out and see me play, I'll even sing a few songs! I think I'll probably be playing the Palaedium this time around, so if you ever wondered what that sounds like in a band situation, now's your chance to find out! Woohoo!
We play classic rock (including some surprises that you very rarely hear covered and a few totally different arrangements of songs you'll recognize), a few newer songs, some originals, and a little country.
If you have a cheap crappy old 8 ohm cabinet that you're looking to unload, (I'm actually thinking of an old Peavey single 15" loaded cab to compliment my Eden 210) PM me and we can meet early so I can try it at the gig.
