Damian, do you think that having the pickups moved further back contributes to that throaty deep growl that you get out your Zon? Neither of my Zon's get anywhere near that kind of tone.

What, you say it's an Emperor or a Monarch or something? Hehe.When I had an Emperor I used to get the name mixed up with the Monarch but once I saw VW's instructional video it was etched in my mind and I never crossed the two again.
| almost baught one of those(in the metalic bleu finish) back when | decided to switch to 6.

I passed up on a couple of much higher-end basses when I bought this lady five years ago. I just loved the way she sounded, the variety of tones I could get out of her, and mostly the big, fat neck.

My 2007 Pedulla MVP-6 on the right. The 19mm spacing is heaven. Very easy bass to play with super low action. I have owned and played many 6 strings. This is is the keeper.
