Oh, to take such a beautiful bass, with such a potentially awesome visual presentation, and then paint it!. Is there any way you could get that paint back off? Paint remover? Sanding? Sand-blasting? Maybe it's a bolt-on and you could switch to an unpainted body? There's got to be some way to recover from this disaster! Someone should be SHOT for this!

Yup. Well spotted. Both are spanish cedar bodies. The one on the right has a redwood top. Pictures don't do it justice.
