6 String BASS Club (Guitarists keep out!)

She should be in my hands tomorrow. I'll get to play her for Wednesday nights gig,....I absolutely cannot wait!

I am considering a cheapo Ibanez after reading the Andrew Gouche article in Bass Player. I used to really like playing a six string bass because I could stay in one position, and if Andrew Gouche does that, I don't feel guilty if I do it either.:D

When it comes to doing less work to get the same job done, there's nothing to feel guilty about at all- all a pianist has to do to play a note is lightly push down on a single finger, and none of them feel guilty about it :)

That one reminds me of the one you used to have, Andy.

Wow Bryan, great memory! The first one that I had was with the spalted maple fingerboard. It also had a one piece myrtle body. That was such a great bass, but the myrtle body made it too heavy. I put a demeter pre in that bass and it was amazing. One day when I have a great deal more money I'll have them build me a bass with the Century body and my specs.
