30 watts means, nothing, 15 watts means nothing, my CTM 15 is quite loud so far, and will probably do fine for band practice at lower volume and even lower volume gigs.

I have bassman 135 I got for around $400. Sounds great !

+1. I spent $500 and got the Bassman 135 + 2 X 15" cabinet to go with it.

The CTM 15 will definitely not cut the mix and the Little Bastard will keep up with that particular cabinet if you have a quiet drummer and reasonable sound level. My LB30 could keep up to a normal band with my 410, my drummer however is extremely loud, so it struggled.

The Traynor or the Peavey seem to be the only viable options really if you intend to play in a band. I know you Yank's don't always have P.A. support so I wouldn't personally feel safe taking an LB30. I tried gigging mine at a metal night the first night I got it, my Epifani 310 couldn't keep up, thankfully I had monitors and mains.

My band has a very low drummer, no pounders so it might keep up.
