I'm guessing Avatar isn't available there. The cab with the ceramic magnet speakers handle 700w.
The 350w Delta 10 is beat by 2dB in low end output by the 150w Basslite S2010. And that's the current version of the Delta 10. The older version, replaced 3 years ago, put out 6dB less than the current one. It could take 350 watts before burning out, but only 30 before farting out. This is a good example of why power ratings are meaningless.I'm guessing Avatar isn't available there. The cab with the ceramic magnet speakers handle 700w.
Thanks for the info guys.
There are a pair of 350 watt Acme Low b's sitting at the shop down the street.
They are secondhand and selling for AU $900 each. I've read they are pretty good and ideal for my situation. and they are light weight. however a bit pricey for me but I may consider one.
Definitely looking at the Orange SP210 and Markbass 2x10's because there is a few of those dealers around Melbourne.
Ok. thanks for that. The Acme felt light when I picked it up.
I play in a hardrock/prog/pop band with a hard hitting drummer and a not so heavy sounding guitarist with a taste for Andy Summers and Edge type of sound. plus vocals and keyboards.
the Mesa Boogie seems good but too heavy.
some other 210's, 212's and 112's I've looked at are:
Markbass Traveller 102P 400 watt
Nemesis RSP 210
TC Rebel Stack 2x10 and 2x12
Warwick 211 400 watt
SWR Go Light JNR 2x10 400 watt
Gallien Krueger GK Neo & MBX 112 300 watt
Eden 112 XLT
Aguilar GS112
I highly recommend the Big ear covering Headphones for Ken's clips if you can find them, that way you can hear what it's supposed to sound, as well as his narration. Through tiny laptop speakers it is a waste of time. Nice desktop speakers with sub sit in the middle.
