60s Jazz Bass Experience

Hello all. Recently, I posted a thread asking which bass I should get next: an Aerodyne Precision bass or an MIM 60s jazz bass. Thanks to that, I've decided to go with the jazz( I already own two P basses and want to try something different) , however I don't have the money saved up quite yet. Before I buy I want to know a little more.

Has anyone has any experience with this bass? What are the pros and cons? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.:)

well i own the classic vibe squier and i know they both have vinatge style frets and i really dig that on a bass. It feels so easy to play and bending is way easier i added flats 1 for sound and 2 becuase vintage frets get tore up easier.

I own A 2001 Fender 60's classic jazz. The neck is excellent, including the tuners. I swapped out the pickups for split-coil Lindy Frailin's because I needed less hum for broadcasts, though the original pickups are fine.

This is a low-priced instrument that gives me the tone and feel of the '69 Jazz I had (in 1969) though I must confess I think the 60's classic sounds and feels better than my long sold '69. Yeah, not a popular view...

If the classic you are considering sounds and feels good, it IS good. Grab it. I am assuming $500 US or a bit more or less. :eyebrow:
