60's Mustang

500 bucks for a Mustang? You gotta be crazy! No matter how old it is or who splooged on it, it's a piece of junk. Always was, always will be. For that money there are a million things out there that play and sound better.

Hmmm... I'd play that bass any day and I make all of my income from music. Your opinion is your own, but it doesn't hold true for everyone. I love the old Fender short scales! And, the Squiers from the 80's(especially JV), are better than almost any 70's Fender out there build wise.

I LOVED my '66 Blue Mustang Bass! It was a quality instrument... so much so that I had a Mustang 're-envisioned" custom built. TO EACH HIS OWN... YMMV, but I think it is a great score.

I LOVE this picture! I also love your take on the Mustang very, very cool. The OP got himself a deal on a really nice vintage bass. Don't let anyone rain on your parade. Ya done good! I would play it for a bit then find a good shop and get it put back right. Well worth the $ imho. But seriously I couldn't be all that much to get that shot in Oly white.

Nice score. I paid $500 for my Mustang re-issuse (and I'd buy it again if I had to) you got a real made in America, vintage Fender.

Pay no attention to the naysayers, I love my Mustang, it's a great axe.
