61 Refin...what color?

Thanks everybody for all the options! I saw a few very nice pics of:

Seafoam Green
Surf Green
Daphne Blue

Right now I'm leaning towards Surf Green. I live in Holland so MJT isn't an option. Here we have Rebelrelic and the job they do is unreal! I'll give them a call today to get more info.

Here's mine: finish and color look great in pics but in reality it looks a bit fake and cheap. The pickguard is far more reliced than you can tell from the picture. More big nicotine stains!

I like an old Fender just like most folks do, but when it comes to a refinish, why not have fun with it. Metal flake! Surf's up!

Fender actually did that back in the sixties... Not officially, but they were made for tradeshows, and on custom order. Big flakes, and funky colours... They're called Invalid Link Removed, and few examples still exist today. The flakes were so big, they couldn't be sprayed by the in house facility, so those bodies were sprayed at the bodyshop (for cars that is) down the road.

This was actually quite easy; tort body with a surf green pickguard!

True. I did see, hold and play a factory original 1959 Fender Stratocaster in chartreuse sparkle.

I'd go for Daphne blue, beautiful on a P and correct as regards the year.
