If money were not an issue, would you?

  • Yes

  • No

  • Only if I made my living as a musician

  • I'd rather invest in a carrot farm

Aaah...didn't hear about that one. Dripping sarcasm noted. Well, please forgive my inattention to Danish eateries...

My point is simple; My grandfather once laughed when I told him I felt a little guilty about the wage I was making at a new job. His response? "You're worth whatever you can get. Don't feel guilty about that".

That's my point...

Only you know if 33K is worth it. It’s a gorgeous bass but that money could be saved for your retirement or pay down your mortgage, if own a home. I don’t know what your financial situation is, but 33K is a lot of cheese. I would think it through before making any moves. YMMV, IMHO, etc., etc.

The AO Basses are super nice. To me it’s almost like buying an old fender but in new condition.
I’m set with my Fender basses but curious... is the AO series a continuation (or evolution) of the AV series? I never tried an AV bass, but I picked up an AV Stratocaster and have been floored by that guitar. It’s been one of two recent run instruments I’ve played that actually sounds vintage.

Yeah I’d say they’re an evolution of the AVRI. They have vintage correct construction but use a more modern 9.5” fretboard radius. I like the neck finish a lot better than the Am Pros but that’s just me. The nicest poly finished neck fender makes is the Adam Clayton model IMO. They just seem to get the perfect smoothness on it.
