'66 P good price?

Yeah.... :D:D:D:D

I just went through the case and it had all the original tuning machines. All are intact except one, which is just missing the screw and washer that holds the tuning peg on the backing plate.

And the bridge and pickup covers are in the case, too and still look practically brand new.

LOVE IT!!!

I hate to generalize about years with Fender but '66 was a great one IMO. Some of the nicest Ps I've played end up being from that year.

Enjoy your, it looks like a nice one! I think you should play it a while, too, before you make any decisions, but if you do refin it, LPB or Sonic Blue would be my choice, too. Early '60s screams S/B to me, by '66 the custom colours defined the era in my mind's eye, whether they were that common or not.
