'66 Pots in '68-69 Fender Bass?

Hi all,
I took the control plate off of my Fender Competition Mustang Bass to clean the jack a bit and decided to verify the pot codes. It seems that the pots are each from 1966 (codes of 6642 on both pots). I believe that the bass is a 1968-69 model (neck heel reads 17AUG68B, serial number dates to early 1969). I know that it's fairly common for Fender parts to have dates within about a year of each other, but I'm a bit concerned about the gap between the pots and everything else. Is this abnormal?
