Hey everyone, I was hoping maybe a gibson person could help me out here--I have a friend with a Gibson L9S, and judging by it's serial number, it's from 1976. Anyways, it's pretty cool, but the electronics are not standard. There is a P bass pickup in it, and only a V/T electronics layout.
My first thought was that it was a hack job by some guy, but the routes are clean, and overall, it really does look like it was made originally to be like that. Now, I'm not looking for a valuation, but I'm just wondering if there was ever some special run or something weird, or just a really good mod job?
