8 beers Americans no longer drink

I actually like High Life (especially on a hot day) but really can't stand MGD.

I haven't had either of them, can't say I regret not having any, but sometimes I get curious about it.

One thing I'm curious about though - Coors original or "banquet" apparently. Coors light is literally the single best-selling "beer" in my province, but I have never, ever, seen coors original or "not light" either in the beer store, or on their website, nor even in the LCBO. One day, I would like to go over to michigan to buy some - I doubt it's anything special, but it's literal unavailability lends some desirability to it, I suppose.

I notice a lot of people drinking craft brews now-a-days. It's definitely a time I enjoy living in. I like going to random parties and finding coolers filled with stuff I like.

Exactly. Going to grocery stores and liquor specialty stores with amazing beer selections is killer! Local breweries and brew pubs is never a bad thing!

Flavor is such a good thing, especially when you start pairing beers and foods appropriately. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I want a certain beer and a certain food that doesn't pair appropriately, but when it's right, it's even cooler!

Do they still make Schaefer beer? I still remember their ditty, "Schaefer is the one beer to have when you're having more than one!"
Ha! Yes, that was truly the sign that it was a quality beer.:D We used to drink that and the Be(a)st back in college in the early '80s, they were under $2 for a sixer.

Now I only have a beer about once a month, so I make damn sure it's something good.

There was one schaefers commercial that featured a huge moog modular. Awesome sounds made into an obnoxious jingle. I guess it was memorable though.

Cheap low quality beer is bad for everyone. It shouldnt exist. :scowl:
