8 string bass conversion

    I want to make a four string p bass into an 8 string bass. Any tips on installing the tuners and maybe cutting the nut?

    Rather than drilling holes in the current neck, I'd recommend looking at the Warmoth 8-string replacement necks, which should fit right into a Fender-style body and have a headstock designed for 8 strings as well as extra reinforcement.
