The 800RB is a wonderful amp. Note they are advertising as "NEW".

If it is, in fact, NEW,, This might not be as outrageous as it sounds.

I'd wager someone will grab this. If I didn't already own one, I might be tempted.
  5. That got a chuckle.

Buy a used one and put the difference on deposit to pay for servicing for 20 or 30 years and still cover a new amp at the end.

    No, it is :)

I'm sure it is new, or NOS. You can buy a vintage 800RB and have a tech update/replace everything inside of it for less money than that.

    The 800RB is the Devil!
  9. Sooooooo, that would make it the best amp for metal, right?

    Love my 800RB.

Bought it used in 2000, it was the best sounding amp at the music store where I bought it (except for a SVT)

very cool ... dont worry if you miss the 'sale' though, Beaver Felton has HIS own personal one in reserve that you MAY be able to wrangle from him ... for $1500 .... Leave it to Beaver!

I regret selling mine but it came with the bad memories of the guitarist I used it with for 20 years.

I can't recall anyone ever not enjoying one of these amps

The bass pot is toast on my 800RB, so I will let it go for the ridiculously low price of $899.99!

The worst part is that here in Australia they do sell for around $800 S/H and are rare.

Ya know, I've played a few GK amps in my time, except this one. What made it stand out from all the rest of the " RB " amps ?
