Never taught high school, did you?Quotes that never happened.
Yeah, I was deep into hardcore and industrial stuff then so they were a bit on the tame side for me, but I figured with the music and full name they were just taking the piss and having a bit of fun while it lasted so I respected ithat at least.I am not embarrassed to admit that I own the vinyl of their debut LP, Bostin' Steve Austin, purchased as a teenager.
Weirdly I had also been a member of the 6 Million Dollar Man fan club years prior to buying the album. Might have had something to do with my no-listen purchase. Also I was a young teen overflowing with hormones. Marketing works y'all!
And the band's full name is We've got a Fuzzbox (and We're Going to Use It), IIRC.
From wikipedia:I read somewhere that Simon and one of the original Seekers wrote the song. Either way, it's a great song.

I'm approaching 77 and my junior high and high school years were all British Invasion, Psychedelia, and sunshine pop. Hair we come again.I'm sure.
I'm 58 and never experienced that in my circle of friends, however.
