80's Peavey Fury patent pending?

I have recently bought a used Peavey Fury 1st Edition (With the super ferrite pickup). On the back of the headstock it reads:
U.S. PATENT NOS. 4,237,944; 255, 462
AND PATENT PENDING

Any significance to this? The bass does have non-stock parts, from what I can tell the bridge is different, and it has (I think) Schaller M4s black tuners. Serial #02102260

The first patent is for how the TR set in a 2 piece neck. The second is for the Headstock shape.

The tuners may have been changed to resemble the Titan style ones. Original ones are clover shape

Pics would help, though I don't think patent pending has any particular significance for value, especially with modded parts. Peavey later sold Titan/Schaller style tuners in black, and I've seen a couple of early peavey basses that appear to have them installed later. Pop one off and see if it has holes from other tuners.

What does the bridge look like?

My first-gen fury had the fender-style open-gear clover-head tuners and the typical trapezoid bent-metal bridge with larger-than-usual barrels.

The serial number (see the T-40 sheet in my sig) would indicate a 1985 model which I think is the second or third year of production.
