I have to use two 410s these days because of ease of hauling, but an 810 is close enough in sound that it really doesn't matter. I was just out in the garage, and fired up the rig. Gotta tell ya, there is nothing else in the world that compares to hitting a few notes and being able to FEEL it coming at ya with about 1500 or so watts. Old Entwhistle must have just loved every second of playing on stage for all of us. I love just my rig. Think of how much fun playing through some of the stuff he played through must have been, WoW! No, There is no substitute for 810s and some horsepower shoving them. Thats why!!
Dunno Who this Entwhistle bloke is, but if he's anything like John Entwistle, he never used 8x10s.
But yes, big rigs are fun. I can't wait to get 3 4x12s.
