    I guess a father could too....since I'm the dad !

    *Fender Highway One neck and tuners
    *B Hefner alder body
    * Tonerider (I think) pickup
    *CTS pots
    *Switchcraft jack
    *aged shellac finish

    I know how much you guys (and gals) like relics. That's ok, I like them, and that's what matters.

    Some pics....

    I'd take the covers off but otherwise I like it. It's rough but not too rough.

    Looks great. I wish pick-up covers didn't get in my way, they look great.

  7. You are getting really good at the process my friend. Unlike most, I see this as an art more, and a very difficult one at that. I've been dabbling in it myself, and I'm the first to understand/appreciate what it takes to get a relic job to look realistic. Well done sir.

    Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you dig it, and it's very cool that you have an appreciation for what goes into making a new instrument look old. To me, the art of a relic instrument is not in making it look beat up, but making it look as if it is in authentically used instrument. Beat up is easy, used for decades is not.

    Love it. I'm usually not big on the control plate P setup, but I think you've changed my mind. Too bad my Fender has an unholy route that wouldn't allow it :(

    Wow !

    Very Cool

    First thing that popped into my mind was a butcher block look.

    Unique and funky

    That's about as good as it gets

    Nice grain for an alder body. Usually they're kind of meh.
