Have you guys heard Atoms For Peace? Flea + Thom Yorke et al. Interesting, but unlike Flea. Sounds like Colin Greenwood actually.
Funny video. That bass sounds fine.

I certainly hope you were not referring to me with that "fanboy" comment. Since I'm no Yes fan nor a huge fan of Squire, I'll let that one go. Although 8 out of ten bass players, Yes fans or not, would rate Squire better than just good.
I suppose a compliment from Flea is not really a compliment at all. He may be qualified to set up Squires gear.

...to those plastic bread bag holders clips...
It should also be noted that Chris does not in fact use a coin for a pick.
Correct! Mr. Squire uses heavy gauge Herco picks.
He complimented another player. So what if it wasn't the god-level praise that would come from some devout fanboy who'd take a bass neck up the #$^& to meet the guy?

Flea flea flea blah freaking blah! I must be the only one on TB who can stand the guy or the crappy RHCP!
When I was a kid and discovered that I could play well a teacher taught me not to be too "busy". "Play for the song, no one likes a busy bass player".
It was good advice and served me well over the years. Someone should have told Flea to calm down a little. But seeing as how the singer is lame and the guitar players have all been hacks I guess someone had to step up. Can't freaking stand the band, the music or the busy bass player.
Is Geddy a 'busy' bass player?

Most of the time. Now, unlike Melonthief, I think that's a good thing.
