You know, I never looked at that bridge... it came from a Kramer but I don't know what brand it is. It's pretty heavy and well made. I'm not into that kind of stuff but the customer has a Primus tribute band and I guess this bass will fit ;)

That it will indeed, and its definatly a Kahler, really good quality stuff, and even better, its the one Les Claypool has on his!

Thanx! I'm pretty happy with the finish. It's hand rubbed Danish oil but it's shiny and not "satin". This puppy has a killer slap sound. The woods combinations works very well. And Bartolini pickups are worth every cent!

I went for bone. It looks like the strings stay in tune pretty well. Maybe a touch of oil into the nut slots would make it even better.
I really don't understand the need of a whammy, though :D

That's pretty slick, there... I am still dubious about the wooden nails, they just sound like a pain if you ever had to disassemble, but I can't deny that it looks great!

I've always been a fan of elegant simplicity

About wooden nails: if you ever need to dismount a neck glued in with Titebond it will be a pain. The nails don't add troubles... you just need to make a hole thru them and you're ready to install a new set :D
They make the joint much stronger, though. The owner of the bass is looking forward to receive it... we'll see how he likes it.
