A fade out with Garageband?

I'm working on a simple demo for a group I play with, using Garageband as the editing platform. At the end of the song, I'd like to do a volume fade out. How do I do that?

Pretty sure you would do that by editing the volume level of the master track. If the master track isn't shown, select "show master track" in the track menu. You might then have to toggle it from "master pitch" to "master volume". Then create volume set points and drag them around to create slopes (i.e. fades) in the overall volume level.

Yeah You could do it that way, or you can go to Track up the top of the screen and at the bottom of the menu theres a "Fade Out" option you can click. Down the bottom the "Master Volume" bar thing appears. Although it automatically selects a nice round fade out, You can adjust the volume by clicking and or dragging anywhere inside that bar.

P.S. By clicking a track (The 'real instrument' one you use to record bass for example) and while in that track you click the "A" key, a bar will appear below to adjust the volume of that track only. it works the same as the master volume bar.

Thanks... that worked just fine. I'm using an older version of Garageband and there is no "fade" function. Maybe the newer versions have the "fade" button, but not mine. Peace....
