I am going to change my amp. I only use it at home.
Is it better to buy same brand as guitar?
And as i said i use it at home. I saw amp in built kind of earphones (i dont know their name exactly) It costs same with the ibanez 15w amp. It is more mobile and seems cooler I think. But i have concerns about sound quality. Are they worth buying?

For practice along with recorded music, almost anything is fine. A small amp with a headphone output and an auxiliary input is best. The headphones will allow you to hear your bass and the music at the same time, without playing sound through the main speaker.

The Fender Rumble 15 watt amp has these features, and is not too expensive.

Even when playing at home, i aim for a decent sound. Since i play mostly 5 string basses with a low B string, i found most combo amps with less than one 12" speaker lacking in fundament. My home-amp is a SWR LA-12 with 60W. It's not in high regard by some folks, but i love it because it sounds quite dry and direct and can reproduce the low B to my satisfaction. When i make a lick sound good on that amp, it'll sound even better on my big rig.

So i would not recommend one of those tiny practice amps with a single 8" speaker if you want the bass to sound natural. Headphone amps can be the way to go here, but i have no experience with those.

One of these costs 1/3 as much, does the same thing, and all you need is earbuds or cheap headphones for practice. Also lighter, smaller and longer battery life. Has mp3/cd input.
