A five string P that is not a five string P

The Carvin/Kiesel PB5 looks nice, as well as the Kingston CRB.
The F-bass sure is a killer, but that'd be Dingwall money.
From looking at all the models you suggested, i learned, that i lean towards a passive, single split coil pickup instrument.

If it was an easy task, I would not ask talkbass.
Lakland 55-01 with upgraded preamp.
The pups in the 55-01 are P's in a soapbar shell, so they should get you at least 90% of the way there, a better preamp should finish the job, and the 55-01 doesn't look completely Fenderish.
Or get a 55-94 with exotic topwood and have 'em drop in a P pup.

One PU, two knobs, straight P 5 concept that does not look like a Fender Precision 5.
Looks like the MTD Kingston CRB 5 may be the one for you.
That is truly cool - but if you take away the things that are changed entirely to acoomodate the fanned frets - that's a PBass.
Nothing wrong with it, nothing wrong and nothing wrong with NOT liking PBasses - but I would say - the market for - "exactly like a PBass but not," is pretty slim - either basses are going to be trying to be different or they're going to try to be the same. And THAT may just be the most meaningful meaningless sentence you've ever read.
Spectors are nice and have a great b string. Soap bar pups can be found with p bass split coils hiding in them, covering the basses you called.
The Yamaha bb series basses are wonderful as well, and don't look a lot like the fenders.

I have a US bolt-on Spector 5-string with dual EMG P (soap bar) pickups. It looks about as far from a P as it could. It doesn't quite have the passive P sound, as it's much punchier and more focused, but it sits great in the mix. The notes are much more distinct in the mix than a P though, which may or may not appeal to you. Incredible bass.
