...anyone notice a trend:
Game 1 - Lakers by a boat load
Game 2 - Lakers squeak out an OT win
Game 3 - Magic by 4
Lakers started out hot, but they didn't sweat the Magic.
Game 4 will be another W for the Magic, probably by a larger margin, and all the sudden, the series is TIED.
All you Lakers fans that were so ready to just give the trophy to your team after game one better start worrying. It IS a 7 game series, your team needs to win 4 of 'em, not just blow the other team out in the first one.

The LAST thing you're going to see out of the Magic is a choke-fest.

Which was followed by them damn near knocking the Lakers off in Game 2, then knocking them off in Game 3....they may have a bad game, but they will not have a bad series.
Tell me, how're you gonna be feeling when the series returns to El-Lay 3-2 MAGIC?
The Magic don't choke. If anything I've been surprised by their ability to come through late in games when the score is tight. Dwight Howard hits free throws at a better rate, their collective shooting percentage is pretty good down the stretch and individually Lewis has shown himself to be a better clutch shooter than I ever gave him credit for.
That said, what this Magic team DOES do is play incredibly streaky basketball. Their offense is simply structured that way. If their shots fall they can put up points in a hurry and if they go cold they really go cold. It's why throughout the season and post-season they've came back from AND given up big leads. That's why they have a puncher's chance in every game but won't win the series. It's the same reason you never take a similarly built team in the NCAA tournament.
I still Lakers in 5 but I'd love to be wrong.
