A good 6 stringer???

Hello all!

I have an Ibanez K5 (Fieldy from KORN's signature series) that has an awesome vari-mid eq system. I also have an Ibanez sr626 japanese model that is a really nice Bass but just doesn't have the tonal capabilities that the K5 has.

Does anyone know of a 6 stringer that may have an eq section similar to a vari-mid of the K5??

Ibanez SR3006 or SR5006... Look on Ebay, they come up here and there... They're pretty close to the K5...

the Ibanez SR506 is a really nice 6er. in fact is was the bass i was going to buy befor my samick fell in to my lap

And the 506 and a type of 'vari-mid' eq??

The K5 has the 2 stacked knobs right? The bass/treble and mid/mid freq? That's the vari-mid you're talking about? Then no, the 506 doesn't have it. Its just bass, mid, treble I'm pretty sure...

Yes, that' correct. The K5 has the stacked knobs....Bass/ Treble & Mid/ Mid Frequency.

Yeah, I have an Ibanez SR5005 with the same EQ. I love it.

The eq is just fantastic! I can literally dial in ANY sound I want.

It is great isn't it...

I also think that my dist. pedal works so much better with my Ibanez than my Pbass or my Peavey...
