This 24" Fender bar stool is what I use and works great for me.

I bought this one about a year ago. Amazon.com - The HON Company 5701 Volt Series Task Chair, Black - Executive Chair I wanted something that would last longer than the cheap office store arm less task chairs I've had. At 6'2" and 210 I guess I was more bassist than they were rated for. :D Its hard to tell from the picture but is definitely larger and much higher quality than I was getting before.
Yes! This is what I'm looking for. I'm 6'6" and 210. Wasn't sure if it existed.

I have a 'guitar seat' in the studio ... with a tactile subwoofer ( ass-bass ) hooked underneath ..!!
seat shape is called a Bike seat , which lets your legs relax versus a square seat ... has a foot rest ring around the bottom ... also has 'sliders' instead of 'wheels' ... it was custom ordered .. pick leather color , has my name on it, in case I forget ...ha ( I used to drink a lot ) I think the website is/was .. Invalid Link Removed mine is the Gas Lift Guitar Seat

The Rock Ranch had this very cool, very old and extremely comfortable dentist's chair. Not the one the patient lays in but one for 'the dentist" to sit in. Had a swivel back that was very small so your arms cud swing, super smooth casters, two rows of foot stands and you cud adjust this chair in many ways. Worked great in the studio. If it was available when I got there I didn't un-ass it unless I absolutely had to. Great exercise work out chair for guitar/bass guitar. I'll probably never see another one ever but if I do, the chair, she be mine.

Picked this chair off the floor at staples for $80. It is my field office chair. Spent many nap at work in it. Yes I do sleep in work. My record shift was 31 ½ hours straight and a couple of naps are needed.
When I’m between jobs this chair is home sitting under the car port and I found it works great when I flip up the arm rests and put my feet up on the picnic bench seats. Spent many a night with a cold beer noodling around with a bass and my Low Down 110 late at night. And that’s from a boneified FOS.
