This has a permanent place in my gig bag. Extremely compact and sturdy, and reasonably stable for such a compact stand.

Yeah, me too. It has stayed solid through a lot of use and I like it. Only thing to be aware of is that a side jack can land right on one of the legs. I’ve had to slightly tilt some instruments.

This is the hippest low-profile I’ve seen to-date.

I have the Hercules GS402BB. It's ok. Folds small, has a carrying pouch, not too heavy. The flip out arms don't rotate outwards to the same angle on mine and it's very easy to tilt a bass sideways and make it fall.

It's better than the K&M Heli 2, which is bigger (doesn't fit in a gig bag pocket), heavier and not really safer, plus it comes without a bag. The two nubbins in the front are too low for my peace of mind. If I use it, I prop the bass against the vertical supports.

As for hanging stands, Hercules stands seem to fail at the height adjustment once the rubber becomes sticky and the K&M Memphis Pro seems to suffer from sticky rubber in the cradle, which leave marks on headstocks. This according to reviews.
For these reasons I've been unwilling to purchase either.

I'm always reluctant with those short "A" style stands. They're compact but they feel a bit precarious. But I'm guessing this is probably the best gigging guitar stand.

I'm considering the Xvive G1 Butterfly for a travel stand, but I'm a little concerned about the weight. It seems like it's probably more stable than the D&A, though, which I'm also considering. I have two ancient Ultimate GS-100s, and yeah, not the most durable design in the world. One has the top piece cracked and is wrapped up with gaffer's tape, and the other one sometimes has the axle for the clamp work its way out, but mostly still holds.

Hi! did you end up getting the Xvive? If so, Would u recommend? I'm getting a new stand soon. I like that one but it's pricey.
