A Good Metal Bass?

Hey Guys,

So I'm thinking about investing in a good bass for playing metal. I was looking at the Jackson CMG Concert bass. Does anyone know anything about this bass? and do you have any other suggestions as to what to get?

Thanks as always.:ninja:

I see you are new so I hope you will be spared. :)

This question/thread comes up every week or more often.
There is no answer.

Any bass you personally like is good to play metal. Case closed. ;)
(And a lot of members are going to say the same. It's not going to be offensive to you personal. But it's just that some TBers are irritated by this thread title. :D)

In my case: a precision bass is the best for metal. In your case: only you can figure that out.

Welcome to TalkBass. :)

Good thing C'thulhu was here before the sharks arrived.

yeah c'thulhu got it right.

Thanks, thanks... I really should get another screenname if I'm going to keep this postive mood and helpful behavior. :D

sandica followed up on our advice and started a thread asking specificly about the Jackson CMG Concert.
That's the way to go. :)

Now I wonder if this is going to be locked, or if the mods give us another go at posting pics of outrageous METAL basses.

pretty much any bass with a really low end.you probably would want something with really basic pickups, just a suggestion.

bass brands that seem to be mostly "metal like" to me are:
-ibanez
-schecter
-DEAN
-jackson
-B.C rich
-and gibson..in some light..
