Hey all, how's it goin?
I've been "playing" bass for a local band my cousins put together for the past 15 years and as 1 of 3 bass players in rotation at the church I attend. I say "playing" because it's been more of a tertiary hobby of mine (behind sooo many hours lost to gaming and youtube videos) and consider myself more of a lower intermediate player because of it.
I hope that making an account here will help me get a little above that rut, but it's definitely not the only reason for starting one. For one, I really enjoy the looks of basses/guitars, the colors, and collecting unique pieces, and the classifieds here give a nice variety to the extensive Reverb list I've got going. The other reason is a mixture of hobbies. I had gotten into 3d printing back in 2018 and saw really cool bass designs that I wanted to try my hand at printing, and have been experimenting with ever since. There have been many attempts, several failures, a couple successes, and many lessons learned along the way. I am by no means a luthier, not even close. Nonetheless, I don't plan on slowing down development of 3d printed basses and guitars and would love to share my findings with those interested. I'm currently working on recording the ones I have working to show how they sound and planning on posting those once they're done. Thanks for takin a look!
