so.......after reading this thread and thinking about mntngrown's misfortune, I came up with an idea.

I'm not having any luck selling my 410hlf. If he would want it and I could convince enough people to chip in, I would send it to him. If 20 people chipped in $20, that would be $400 minus $100 for shipping. I would net $300 which is probably below market but I would be helping another TB'er out.

If he doesn't want a 410 (he may well not want one as it sounds like he is a 15 guy), I would chip in $20 towards purchasing him a cab that someone else on here has for sale. If we could get enough people, we might be able to come close to raising the cash to buy him a new cab, head, and bass.

He may have insurance, but my experience with insurance is that you never come close to breaking even. At least this way he wouldn't have to worry about his bass gear.

Who is with me?????? What is $20 anyway? Soon you won't even be able to buy a gallon of gas for $20.

I'm in, just let me know if and when it's going to happen. Let him decide what cab he wants. Might even be easier if it's a local purchase for him to avoid the shipping cost.
