As the header states there is no useful information to be had here. Just pondering on which bass to play this weekend for a couple of gigs.

On a hip and cool note (well to me at least) in the pic is a black and cream case I use to carry gig necessaries back and forth. This case was my mother’s skate case she used way back in the day before she even met my father. This would date it about 1952-53. My earliest memories of skating with Mom was attached to this case.

She was going to throw it out, but I rescued it and it’s now a part of my every weekend.

Pretty cool huh.

Don't think about it another second. Wait till you're headed out the door, grab the one that's speaking to you the most at that moment, stick it in your gig-bag or case, and don't rethink it. Even if you DO rethink it .

That's what I do.

And the skate case is a really cool sentimental thing to have.

I sometimes decide on which bass on what I'm wearing, type of occasion of gig (like halloween -headless bass) or whether inside or out. Mom's skate case is priceless!

Or even more fun, get someone else to put a bass in the case at the last moment and you not know which one it is until you pull it out at the gig

I used to keep all my basses on gig bags and cases and just grab one never knowing which one I had until I got to the gig. As of late I’ve been playing in two bands one tuned a half step down, so I have to be more selective as some basses I keep in standard tuning. Regardless, it does add some fun to the selection.

Well I’ve narrowed it down to either the jazz v or Spector V on Friday night, probably another precision still in a case for Saturday night. You never know though....

I have this dilemma every time I play now. I have acquired more basses than I am being requested to play bass now, so some haven't gotten out of the music room yet! I moved into the drummer role primarily.

Determining what to play when I get the opportunity is a hard decision for me. Usually depends on the songs and the overall vibe.
