A Question For schroeder Users.

I use a 1210 with a mini12. When I used the 1210 alone, I should really say "with headroom", but with the combination it doesn't matter, I haven't driven it that hard.
I've never even come close to maxing out either Schroeder cab I've owned (1212R, 410L).
With my 410 and Thunderfunk 420 with the volume halfway up my head literally rattles, I can't imagine ever playing in a situation needing that much volume, let alone more.
EDIT: The head on my shoulders, not on top of the cabinet.

The 1212r I had sounded fine with 400 or 500 watts, and I rarely needed to push the amp to get the volume I needed.

My 1210 sounded much nicer with a 2400 watt amp that wasn't working terribly hard than with any lesser rated setup I tried.
The more watts the better in my experience. I've ran 450 and 900 watts through an identical preamp into my 1210R, the 900 was better, though the 450 was still very nice. I'm currently running 800 watts and lovin it.
Are you cranking those 900W though? I guess you're not if you say that the 450 was very nice, which I suppose means that it was covering your volume needs. Do not confuse having headroom on the amp with not pushing the cab... My 1210R sounded a bit compressed/boxy when I was putting 500W (cranked) into it.
I found that I preferred the sound of the 410r when pushed. I used to mono bridge a Stewart World 2.1(2100watts) into the 410r. With my loud band, I loved the 410r, with my medium volume band(where I couldn't push the cab), it sounded a little boxy and compressed. I also had a 1212r and 1210r, both of which sounded better, IMO, when pushed. ALso, I should mention that I was using these cabs in a rock setting, so I was going for a little grit in my sound.

I prefer my 410R when pushed from my GK 700rb-II.The more...the better!It sounds more open and really big.The problem is that at rehearsals i cannot push it cause i bury the drummer.(Not that at low levels is not good but not at it's best.)

Lol..I had the same problem, or should I say, situation. I'd drown out the rest of the band. It sounded great though, and I ALWAYS received positive comments on my sound because I was actually being heard out in the crowd.
I forgot to mention, the power section plays a HUGE part in the sound, IMO. Watts are not always watts! I used a Stewart 1.2 mono bridged into the 410r and I was struggling to be heard, with 1200 watts! It was loud, but I couldn't get any "girth" to my stage sound, and it would get lost in the mix. When I moved up to the Stewart 2.1, it added much more bottom end. Stewarts are great amps, but when I moved onto the Crest CA9, I never looked back! ;-)
