A refret is expensive but this is my HOBBY!

Someday, I'd like to get my Foundation refretted with huge stainless steel wire. If I were to spend $300 on the job, it would mean I had $400 wrapped up in a sweet bass

My foundation is bone stock. It's a decent bass for the price.

They age differently. Hit or miss.

For something worth refrettiong (not many) it's worth it to have it done right.

I've had refret jobs done on a low price.. then paid multiple times to have the work corrected.

Unfortunately most of us wouldn't do the work we ask our vendors to do... or accept the rates.

IT takes me about 2 hours to setup a nut and bridge -

It really depends on the bass... I, for one, wouldn't spend that kinda $$ on MIM fender or a squier (unless, for some reason, I had some attachment) -- but a nice bass, sure. Stuff costs money, and the dude doing this time-consuming project needs to pay *his* bills too!

yeah thats how i figured it on my Ibanez SRX 590, not really worth it, if it were a Spector Euro or something I would definitely do it though.

Yeah I know. I have stocks too. My 401(k) sucks because my employer stopped any contributions until the economy picks up.
