   I have seen this video a few times of Paul Gilbert and the bass player is playing a Rickenbacker that just has a P pickup. Did Ric ever make one of these or is this some custom job?

    Yes player replaced stock pups with P for personal sound pref.

    Couldn't imagine doing that to a Ric though....let someone else do it and I would buy it from them...
