A thought on DEATH.

The BMI thing isn't very helpful- according to that, my BMI is either 28 or 29 as I'm 5'8" and about 187lbs., making me just shy of obese. Maybe I'm wrong, but do I look obese?

As far as death goes, I used to be one of those "don't worry about it- it's nothing to fear" guys. Then I had a daughter. I don't actively think about and fear death, but the thought of not being able to see her again scares me more than anything in ther world.

Most of us do not know the day and time of our death in advance and it is interesting to reflect on what possible month and day it would end.
On the first statement: I do not envy people who know when they will die, because it usually means they don't have much time left.

As far as it being "interesting", I have to diasgree with you. I will give the issue a passing thought and then move on. After all, why spend time thinking about the one thing that's surely going to happen anyway?

I have overcome my fear and dread of death through the study of asian arts dealing with the natural cycle of life and the promise of rebirth. I welcome death as a new beggining...I dont wanna die...BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- I DONT WANNA DIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its just interesting to me how certain dates are of significant importence and somewhere in the 365/366 day year that one of those is marked for the end.
"Is marked for the end?" Isn't there a hint or pre-determination there, Major? One will be the end, for sure, but it hasn't been marked yet. Otherwise how could you change it, for better or worse?

Heh, that's funny. I'm 20, and when I was 9 I fell off one of those body board things in the pool. I had to walk out of it and then I yelled at my family who was right there didn't even notice. Luckily nothing really happened except a fear of pools, which I eventually overcame.

I could care less when it's going to happen. Can't come soon enough, I'm tired, mentally & physically. I've felt that way for the past few years. Besides, I'm worth more to my family dead than alive, insurance etc. If it would make things easier for my family, I'd volunteer to take the dirt nap right now.
