Where I lay my head is home
On my reflection recently on how short and fragile Life is I came to realize that this very day IE October sixth could very well be the day it all ends in the years to come. Most of us do not know the day and time of our death in advance and it is interesting to reflect on what possible month and day it would end.

I really don't think I want to know. It would be too never racking to know the month and day.

Every year before that day would roll around I would say by to my loved ones and live that day, well,....like it was my last. Think of all the people who will be disappointed that I didn't wind up dead. :D Then I'll have to respond with "well, there's always next year".

I just couldn't put them through it.

If it comes it does. I just don't want to outlive my children. I have had some near death experiences. I have done things and had things happen that probably should have killed me. While I don't want to die and try to prevent it I just am not afraid of it anymore.

But if we did know, would it be similar to our birthday in that we got together with our friends and celebrated? That'd be a pretty bleak party...

Even for that reason I don't think I'd want to know.
