A Twisted Approach to Ergonomics

the truss rod would be in the same place, yes,
but truss rods only work in two dimensions, if the fretboard is twisting, wouldn't it be limited?

I agree with rudeboy. It's hard to explain with text, but from my point of view, the two center strings (A,D) will not react like the two exterior strings (E,G) when adjusting the trussrod. The trussrod is parallel to the neck and bow in one axis actualy (back bow or not...) If you draw a triangle, the neck is horizontal, the string height compared to the body/neck (not the fretboard) is the vertical and the string is the diagonal closing the triangle. You will notice that each string angle and action height are different, but the increase or decrease of action height is changed equaly to each string by the trussrod resulting in a different proportion of angle change for each strings. I suggest using two trussrod to help control the twist of the neck but his neck are so thick i don't think it would help alot... These bass must be very confortable, but not perfect.
